Echocardiography, in vivo Morphology, Systolic and Diastolic Function

Echocardiography can detect the presence of localized or generalized cardiac hypertrophy, thinning of the myocardium and the presence of regional or global wall motion abnormalities. In addition to the assessment of left ventricular systolic dysfunction, the application of transmitral Doppler flow analysis allows the detection of abnormal filling patterns associated with left ventricular diastolic dysfunction.

Prenatal Ultrasound Imaging, in vivo Morphology

Prenatal ultrasound imaging allows longitudinal analysis and monitoring of the same animal in vivo from embryonic day 5.5 throughout  adulthood. This provides the developmental biologist with a powerful research tool for the assessment and measurement of target anatomy or physiology.

Contrast Imaging

Contrast Imaging with Untargeted Micro Bubbles allows image enhancement of the blood pool in order to visualize and quantify myocardial and tumor perfusion. Customized Targeted contrast agents are capable of binding to a variety of biomarkers, in order to image and quantify their expression patterns.
