Inside the Max Delbrück (MDC) Center the IT department is as the IT competence center responsible for the operation of the information technology. The IT department is a part of the infrastructre of the MDC and directly mandate the Board of Administration.
As the operator of the central IT infrastructure of the MDC the IT department manages the required conditions of the information technolgy to support the scientific processes of the research goups and the administrative processes of the infrastructure as well.
Based on a recent IT infrastructure determined server and storage systems the IT department provides the staff member of the MDC a vast number of IT services over a high-performance network.
