News

According to EU Regulations the residence permits previously issued with a label in your passports will be replaced by electronic residence permits (eAT) as of September 1, 2011. The credit card format residence permit will save biometric features (photo, fingerprints) and personal data. All residents of non-EU states shall be issued their own eAT, including infants and children. This will make it necessary to appear in person at the Foreigners' Registration Office at least once.

According to internal regulations of the Berlin Office exceptions are possible. Please, ask me for details.

The previous residence permits in passports shall expire by April 30, 2021, at the latest.

You may learn more from the information flyer and brochure provided by the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees or click at:

I shall be glad to answer your questions and help you with the application process.
