Alexandra Klaus studied Biology at the Humboldt University in Berlin, Germany. She did her diploma thesis in Walter Birchmeier's lab in 2002, continued then as a graduate student and received her PhD in 2008 for “Distinct roles of Wnt/ß-catenin and Bmp signaling during early cardiogenesis“. Currently, she is working as a postdoc in Walter Birchmeier lab, where she continues to investigate the impact and crosstalk of different signaling systems on cardiac precursor cells.
