Jane D. Holland studied Medical and Pharmaceutical Biotechnology at the University of South Australia in Adelaide. In 2001 she undertook her diploma thesis at Bionmics Pty Ltd, characterizing a novel tumour suppressor gene. Later Jane received a scholarship to study at the University of Adelaide and received her PhD for 'The role of chemokines and their receptors in breast cancer metastasis' in 2007. Jane is now working in Walter Birchmeier's lab where she investigates the co-operative role of c-Met, Wnt and chemokine signaling during metastasis.
