If you are interested to join the MDC as a post-doc, please check currently advertised positions at the MDC jobs web-page.
There are also the following MDC and Helmholtz fellowship programs available:
MDC fellowships for PhD students and postdocs (temporarily discontinued until further notice):
The MDC Fellowship Committee accepts applications from doctoral and postdoctoral candidates on an ongoing basis. Funding is available for fellowships of up to three years duration for PhD students and 12 months for postdocs. The assessment criteria are the scientific excellence of the proposed project and the qualifications of the candidate. For postdoctoral awards it is intended that scientific exchange is fostered. Therefore candidates from outside institutions are favoured. A committee of distinguished experts select those candidates to be admitted to the programme.
In addition the MDC offers special programmes for talented scientists who would like to gain independence early in their career by building up their own scientific programme within a mentoring host group at the MDC (temporarily discontinued until further notice):
Delbrück Fellowships for postdocs (3 + 2 years)
Cécile Vogt Programme for female postdocs (4 + 2 years)
Helmholtz Postdoc Programme
Candidates apply directly to one of the Helmholtz Centres.
Applications to be submitted via the MDC Application portal
Enquiries regarding internal opportunities should be forwarded to fellowships(at)mdc-berlin.de.
For post-docs already working at the MDC or Charité (3+2 years)
