Two Independent Group Leader Positions in Biomedical Mass Spectrometry
In close collaboration with the Berlin Institute of Health, the Max Planck Institute for Molecular Genetics and the Humboldt University, the CHARITÉ and the MDC received funding from the German Ministry of Science and Technology (BMBF ) to establish a national Research Node for mass spectrometry in systems medicine. This node with the title “Multimodal clinical mass spectrometry to target treatment resistance” (MSTARS) will combine a broad range of complementary proteomic, metabolomic and imaging-based technologies with computational approaches. The access to clinical samples, state-of-the-art technologies and the outstanding and dynamic scientific environment in Berlin provides an outstanding opportunity for groundbreaking research.
Supported by generous packages, the candidates will develop their own research program and contribute to the establishment of a national node for mass spectrometry in systems medicine.

Requirements

We are seeking outstanding postdoctoral researchers with a background in mass spectrometry-based proteomics, metabolomics, or imaging. Imaging mass cytometry or computational approaches are particularly welcome. Possible connections to single cell approaches are a plus. A collaborative nature of the candidates research portfolio is hence appreciated.

The CHARITÉ and MDC are committed to diversity and actively support equal opportunities for all employees regardless of their origin, religion, ideology, disability, age or sexual identity. We look forward to applications from people who are open-minded and enjoy working in joint teams. The MDC is certified by the “work and family” audit and provides an inclusive and family friendly environment. Applications from women are explicitly encouraged.
