NIMSB’s first visit to the Max Delbrück Center
Following up on a recent networking visit of Max Delbrück Center representatives to NIMSB in Lisbon, the team exchange in Berlin focused on showcasing the organizational and technological structures of the Max Delbrück Center. The two-day event included presentations from various administrative teams along with tours of the facilities and technology platforms in Berlin-Buch and Berlin-Mitte. The NIMSB team observed the policies, processes, and gold standard practices that have been carefully shaped by the Max Delbrück Center over the years and that have enabled the center to provide the best possible support for scientists, solidifying its position at the forefront of medical research and innovation in Germany and abroad.
Solutions to common challenges
The Max Delbrück Center is playing a fundamental role in the NIMSB project. It is providing guidance and support to help NIMSB develop and implement actions and procedures that will foster excellence in scientific research, innovation, training, and in administrative aspects, which was the focus of the team exchange. The event was organized to facilitate discussions and provide opportunities for the teams of both institutes to learn about approaches and solutions to common challenges that scientific institutes face.
We support the establishment of administrative and infrastructural processes at the NIMSB with great commitment and joy, and look forward to a deeper partnership.

A warm and dedicated welcome
“The NIMSB’s team is truly thankful for the warm, dedicated, and committed reception from the staff of the Max Delbrück Center. The professionally organized sessions and visits to different premises allowed for a broad understanding of the different dimensions involved in managing precision medicine research and translation,” the NIMSB team commented. “From these sessions, multi two-way communication channels have sprouted that will surely result in proficient transborder extensions of both NIMSB and the Max Delbrück Center.”
“With full support from administrative and scientific directorates of the Max Delbrück Center, NIMSB aims to become an internationally renowned leader in translational research, contributing to groundbreaking solutions in personalized medicine,” Roscito said. The collaboration between the two centers promises to drive forward innovation and set standards in the field, benefiting the scientific community and ultimately, patient care.
