Philipp Wahle awarded MDC PhD Prize of 2017
The MDC PhD Prize's Graduate Commission selected Philipp Wahle's Science paper for the first prize. This is the fourth time that the best publication from a PhD project has been honored in this way. The prize money of 1,000 euros comes from the private donor Prof. Annelise Pritzsche.

For the first time, the second placed publications were honored with an award. Carmen Lorenz from the group of Alessandro Prigione and Manuel Hessenberger from the group of Oliver Daumke each received 500 euros for publications dealing with mitochondria, the "power plants" of our cells.
