Schnitt durch Hirnorganoid

Dear readers,

They belong to the marvels of biomedicine: organoids are organ-like structures, grown in the Petri dish. As tiny models for the brain, liver, skin or muscles, they help scientists to investigate how human organs develop and how diseases can arise. Organoid experts are now combining their knowledge and technology on a new MDC platform. An MDC researcher has just bred a neuromuscular organoid that can contract. You can find the video and much more in the new newsletter.
