MDC-Newsletter 12/2019: Science at christmas time

Sarkomer_Weihnachtsbäume_Collage

Dear reader,

Decorating a Christmas tree with the largest protein in the body – that was the idea a MDC research team came up with. They assembled images from individual muscle cells and fluorescent titin into a collage. The images are part of a study that we present to you in this issue. Get into even more Christmas spirit with our holiday calendar: Open one door every day until Christmas Eve on our social media channels or take a look at all (Christmas) stories so far here!

Do you know why Max Delbrück received the Nobel Prize 50 years ago? If the answer is „no“ and you have some time during the holidays, we recommend an article by our founding director Detlev Ganten.

We say goodbye for this year and wish you happy holidays!
