PhD student and PostDoc candidates with a strong interest in systems biology and mathematical modelling interested in joining our group are welcome to make informal inquiries to Dr. Jana Wolf.
Our interdisciplinary research group is working on various kinds of human cancer using methods from mathematical modeling. We are looking for a motivated student who supports us in the visualization of cancer networks. Therefore we offer a position as
Student research assistant (10 - 20 h per week)
on the following subject:
Visualization of tumor-specific networks.
In research collaborations, the visual preparation of our results is of importance as it facilitates the communication between scientists from experimental and theoretical research. In order to represent data in the form of network graphics, we need the implementation of a specific, customizable workflow. For this, we require good knowledge of the programming language R. The project can be realized to a large extent by work at home.
Applications and inquiries can be sent by email to Dr. Katharina Baum (katharina.baum (at) mdc-berlin.de), member of the research group of Dr. Jana Wolf "Mathematical Modeling of Cellular Processes".
The project shall be started as soon as possible and can also be executed as an internship.
