The TransCard Research School has been established in 2009. It is a collaborative endeavor between the Max Delbrück Center (MDC) for Molecular Medicine, the Charité-Universitätsmedizin, the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, and the Freie Universität Berlin. Our international partners include the Hubrecht Laboratory in Utrecht, Netherlands, as well as the University of Arizona in Tucson AZ, USA.
The school is coordinated by the MDC and is embedded within the Cardiovascular and Metabolic Diseases Research Program, which covers a diverse spectrum of research areas, ranging from cellular biology and organ development, to genetics and pathophysiology.
TransCard offers a comprehensive and structured training program for talented doctoral students in a unique translational research environment with internationally renowned faculty, access to the expertise of the associated teaching hospitals, as well as high-end technology platforms.
