Working safely during the pandemic
Basic operations at the Max Delbrück Center for Molecular Medicine (MDC) will start on May 4, 2020. In addition to corona relevant research, the rest of the science will then also start afresh in the labs - albeit on a reduced scale and with requirements that are due to the pandemic situation.
This will limit the number of people who can work on site and have access to the MDC buildings on the Berlin-Buch and Berlin-Mitte campuses at the same time. Those who can work from home should continue to stay at home. If attendance at the MDC is unavoidable, all employees, guests, and contractors must observe strict security regulations.
Please internalize the rules and follow them strictly.
Here in brief:
- Keep a distance of 2 meters, at least 1.50 meters!
- Wear a mouth-nose protection if you might meet others - for example in the corridors!
- Follow the routes at the MDC, which are signposted for you!
- Follow the usual rules of hygiene (washing your hands, coughing and sneezing etiquette, no shaking hands) and the MDC guidelines!
- Never come to work when you are sick!
- Meetings, discussions and seminars are only allowed as virtual meetings
- Business trips are prohibited.

Stay careful and considerate. Keep your distance - wherever you are! Do everything to ensure that the virus can’t spread further. At MDC and in your personal life.
