Abstract
Acquired myosthenia gravis is a rare autoimmune disease of the neuromuscular transmission, resulting from autoantibodies against the nicotinic acetylcholine receptor at the neuromuscular junction or, less frequently, against a muscle-specific receptor tyrosine kinase (MuSK). This review summarizes the current knowledge with respect to pathogenesis, diagnosis, and therapy of myosthenia grovis.
