Personal data that we receive from you as part of the survey will be processed.
2.2. Nature of the data
We process the following categories of personal data: First name, last name, general picture towards communication.
2.3. Duration of data storage
The criteria for determining the duration of storage are based on the end of the purpose and the subsequent statutory retention period. The evaluations are also stored for three years in order to improve the quality of communication based on the responses.
3. Processing of data
The processing of personal data takes place on the occasion of the evaluation of the survey on the "Research Highlights" of the last 18 months. We process your personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG). We also act on the basis of your voluntary consent, if applicable. Your personal data is processed exclusively on the basis of the purpose limitation principle for the fulfilment of contractual and legally standardized regulations.
3.1. Legal basis (of which?)
The processing of personal data (in accordance with Art. 4 No. 2 GDPR) is carried out for the evaluation of the data provided in the survey and the subsequent quality improvement. The legal basis for processing results in particular from Art. 6 para. 1, sentence 1 lit. a GDPR.

4. Use of data and disclosure to third parties
4.1. Within the research institution
Within the institution, those departments are authorized to access the data that need it to fulfill the purpose. Access to the questionnaires and the data contained therein is granted to the members of the Communications department who belong to the Highlight Committee.
Insofar as personal rights or other rights are affected by the processing of the questionnaires, have arisen or will arise in the future, the person concerned hereby grants the MDC all rights to evaluate and improve the quality of the communication.
