The Problem
Muscle wasting and weakness are leading symptoms of a wide variety of diseases. The entire muscle can be affected or only single muscles do not function, yet with dramatic impairment of life quality and life-threatening consequences. Muscle diseases are currently untreatable. n Europe alone, more than 20M people are affected by the devastating consequences of muscle wasting. Only palliative care is available.
The Solution
MyoPax developed a patented autologous muscle stem cell therapy to treat muscle wasting. The team’s technological innovation enables highly standardized manufacturing of pure, native and highly regenerative muscle stem cells from small human muscle tissue specimens to treat acquired and inherited muscle diseases.
