About the speaker
Dr. McDole studies how the early mammalian embryo builds complex three-dimensional structures — such as organs and tissues — starting from a simple population of cells. Her lab has developed advanced, adaptive light-sheet microscopy to image this process at single-cell resolution, allowing her team to track individual cells over time and uncover the mechanisms that coordinate tissue formation during development.
