Anders Nykjaer: Sortilin Receptors in Building and Breaking the Brain

Prof. Anders Nykjær is a leading neuroscientist at the Department of Biomedicine, Aarhus University. His research focuses on the VPS10P-domain receptor family, particularly sortilin and SorCS2, and their roles in neurodevelopment and neurodegeneration. He is also co-founder of Vesper Bio, a company developing a sortilin inhibitor currently in phase II trials for frontotemporal dementia.
