HFMI Autumn Community Meeting 2025
In May 2024, the Helmholtz Association took a significant step in advancing artificial intelligence research by launching its Foundation Model Initiative. This ambitious program aims to support the development of foundation models for groundbreaking scientific research. The initiative began with four pilot projects and the establishment of a Synergy Unit, designed to address overarching challenges and foster interdisciplinary collaboration. A second call for proposals was announced later in 2024, with three projects from that iteration starting at the beginning of this year.
The autumn edition of the bi-annual HFMI Community meeting is taking place on October 14 and aims to bring together scientists working on foundation models from the Helmholtz pilot projects and beyond, facilitating networking and idea exchange.
