Special Book Club Edition: Powerful Women & Role Models
This time, our theme is powerful women — role models and changemakers, real or fictional, personal or professional.
As always, everyone is invited to bring a book that fits the theme and briefly share what it is about. We will have short discussions around each book, leaving space for exchange, reflection, and inspiration. Whether you bring a well-known classic, a hidden gem, or simply your curiosity, join us for an hour of stories, conversation, and a shared celebration of women.
Moderator: Marta Cipinska
Film Screening: Picture a Scientist
Picture a Scientist is a powerful documentary directed by Ian Cheney and Sharon Shattuck that exposes systemic sexism, harassment, and discrimination faced by women in science. Through the personal stories of several scientists, the film shows how academic cultures often silence, exclude, or push women out, while also highlighting efforts to create more equitable and inclusive research environments.
Get-together with cheese, wine & music
