Pride at MDC
Come and join us in the first LBGTQ+ symposium at the MDC!
The researcher, activist, and student Noah Adams from the University of Toronto will share with us his research in autism and transgender in healthcare access. Thomas Stein, PhD, a demographer working at the Charité - University of Medicine Berlin will talk about the statistical visibility of same-sex couples across societies and its challenges. Thereafter, PD Dr. med. Ahi Sema Issever from the Charité will present the QueerNetzwerk, a group of staff and students who promote queer topics and visibility in clinics, research and teaching. Charly Brinkmann from LGBTQ+ STEM Berlin will dive into the (in)visibility of LGBTQ+ individuals in STEM. To conclude the event, we will proceed with a panel discussion with the speakers and Dr. Sofia Forslund on queer topics.
We will finish the day with a pride beer hour from 17:30 in the BIMSB terrace (5€ entrance for the Beer Hour with beverage buffet), see you there!
