The Max Delbrück Center is inviting teachers from all over Germany to visit its laboratories virtually. From September 2024 to July 2025, nine courses on current and curriculum-relevant topics in biomedicine will be offered. The online courses are recognized as professional development in eight of Germany’s federal states.

Children from the Elisabethstift and the Berliner Herz children's hospice got a taste of research during a visit to the Life Science Learning Lab. This opportunity was made possible by a fundraising campaign at the Max Delbrück Center, initiated by two employees and the Association of Friends.

Grizzly bears in hibernation or a pineapple in an MRI scanner – at the “Science Day” at the “Robert Havemann” high school in Berlin-Karow, researchers from the Max Delbrück Center presented students of grades 11 and 12 unusual facets of their research.

Young students are fascinated by the experiments they can participate in at the Gläsernes Labor (Life Science Learning Lab). Thanks to a special fundraiser, socially disadvantaged children from the district of Marzahn-Mitte were able to don lab coats and carry out some thrilling research.

22 young women and girls had the opportunity to experience the day-to-day life of an IT specialist at the Corporate IT or as a researcher at the Max Delbrück Center in Berlin-Buch and Mitte during the Girls’Day event. Boys’Day was also held at the same time.

At the “Hauptstadtforum” of the MINT-EC school excellence network, students had the opportunity to learn about the latest research at the Max Delbrück Center, including how to use machine learning to decode data and enhance immune cells to protect from COVID-19.
