Call for expression of interest for Marie-Curie postdoctoral fellowships at NIMSB

The NOVA Institute for Medical Systems Biology (NIMSB) is inviting potential candidates interested in the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowships (MSCA-PF) to apply by 11 September 2024.

NIMSB is seeking highly qualified candidates wishing to develop their postdoctoral research within the institute’s research theme of Medical Systems Biology tailored to early detection and diagnosis of chronic diseases.

The proposed research plan should outline a comprehensive strategy to leverage cutting-edge technologies in single-cell and spatial multi-omics, artificial intelligence, and patient-derived disease models to develop precise diagnostic tools and personalized therapies.

Proposals should be focused in one of the following objectives:

  • Identify Earliest Cellular Changes: Detect the initial cellular alterations that precede the onset of chronic diseases.
  • Develop Advanced Diagnostic Tools: Create novel diagnostics with high accuracy for early disease detection.
  • Personalised Therapeutic Interventions: Design personalized treatment strategies based on genetic and environmental factors.

Prospective candidates should demonstrate an excellent research track record, enthusiasm, academic curiosity, and an open mind towards different research approaches.

If you are considering applying for a MSCA-PF and wish to have NIMSB as your host institution, we encourage you to reach out to us by submitting an expression of interest by email, as soon as possible. The email should include the following information:

  1. Summary of the work plan (up to 500 words);
  2. Cover letter;
  3. Detailed curriculum vitae (CV) (past 5 years).
