Best Scientific Images Contest

And a celebration it was: After two years of virtual graduation ceremonies due to Covid-19, doctoral students at the Max Delbrück Center were once again able to receive their graduation certificates live on stage.

In the past year Helmholtz Imaging looked for the "Best Scientific Images" generated by scientist from the Helmholtz Association. Twenty of them are now on display for a short time at the MDC.

The MDC held a ceremony to honor young researchers who completed their PhDs in 2019. Prizes were awarded during the ceremony for the best scientific papers and for the best scientific images.

Biomedical research can have a very aesthetically pleasing appearance. That can be seen in the photos taken by many scientists on a daily basis. In a yearly contest, the Best Scientific Images are selected from among the images submitted by members of staff at the Buch campus.
