About the Speaker: Prof. Karen L. Christman, from the University of California San Diego, Visiting Fellow at the MDC, is a bioengineer specialized in injectable biomaterials for tissue engineering and regenerative medicine, with an emphasis on therapies for cardiovascular diseases and women's health. Stiftung Charité has awarded Christman a visiting fellowship over two years, beginning in June 2025. Her expertise will specifically support the expansion of biomedical engineering at the MDC.
