Bioinformatics Social Meetings Berlin
1st Talk: Tancredi Massimo Pentimalli | MDC BIMSB | "Mapping cell-cell and cell-ECM interactions in 3D with high-resolution spatial transcriptomics”
Bio: Tancredi Massimo Pentimalli is a 4-year Computational PhD student in the Berlin School of Integrative Oncology at Charite’. After completing his Medical Doctorate at the University of Rome ‘La Sapienza’, he joined the lab of Nikolaus Rajewsky at the Berlin Institute of Medical System Biology. In his PhD, Tancredi leverages single cell and spatial technologies to map how malignant cells interact with stromal and immune cells in the tumor microenvironment in order to understand and eventually block the mechanisms of tumor progression.
2nd Talk: Daniel León Perinán | MDC BIMSB | " Charting Tissue Transcriptomes in 3D”
Bio: Daniel is a 2nd year PhD candidate at the N. Rajewsky lab (MDC-BIMSB). After completing his studies in ‘Computational Modeling and Simulation’ at TU Dresden, now he enjoys developing methods for the unbiased reconstruction of cellular neighborhoods in physical and transcriptomic space.
