Elaine Fuchs: Stem Cells in Silence, Action and Cancer

Elaine Fuchs, Ph.D. studies where stem cells come from and how they communicate with immune, dermal, and other cells in their environment, and she explores how this communication malfunctions in aging and cancers with an aim to advance therapeutics.
She is Rebecca C. Lancefield Professor, Investigator Howard Hughes Medical Institute, Laboratory of Mammalian Cell Biology and Development, The Rockefeller University.
