Mikko Taipale: Protein (Mis)Localization in human genetic Disorders
We would like to invite you to a talk by Mikko Taipale, University of Toronto.
The title of Mikko's talk is: "Protein (mis)localization in human genetic disorders"
Mikko and his lab study the organization and function of the human proteostasis network in health and disease. They develop new -omics methods to understand biological processes via molecular interactions and want to translate functional insight into new therapeutic strategies.
Mikko has recently published thrilling systematic studies:
- On pathogenic missense variants and their effect on protein localization: DOI: 10.1016/j.cell.2024.09.003
- On the identification of protein stability regulators using an induced proximity approach: DOI: 10.1038/s41586-024-07224-3
