CARTemis Therapeutics develops next-generation CAR T‑cells designed to minimize the relapse risk by disrupting the tumor microenvironment and to expand patient access through a safe hybrid in vivo engineering approach.
The Problem
Anti-CD19 CAR T‑cells fail in every second patient due to antigen escape, persistent tumor support from the tumor microenvironment and CAR T‑cell dysfunction. Furthermore, conventional autologous manufacturing is costly and complex, limiting scalability and patient access.
The Solution
CARTemis tackles these challenges with a first-in-class CAR T product that pioneers CXCR5 as novel target antigen enabling a unique dual functionality by eliminating tumor cells and their supportive niche. Combined with a safe hybrid in vivo approach, manufacturing times will be reduced to hours and costs will be significantly lowered to offer a realistic path towards broadly affordable and scalable anti-CXCR5 CAR T‑cell therapy.
